Last week Mrs Viola, our English teacher, started speaking of Terrorism , of  Clandestines  and how difficult is the  relatioship among people. Over the last years we have watched war, a lot of terrorist attacks  and mass killings on tv. Today more than ever, the genocide of the Jews does not seem to make everyone reflect on the meaning of peace and tolerance. We all have the right to live well in this world without feeling inferior or submissive and consequently we have a duty to respect others. The reading of Primo Levi’s poetry helps us to reflect on the precariousness  peace and freedom. The poema “ Shema” describes how difficult was  the lives of Jews  in the concentration camps. It tells about the suffering of the survivors of the most terrifing genocide. It is also the exeperience of the poet.  He  wants  to remind   people  the memorial day is very important not to forget .It must never happen a similar tragedy in the world.Peace and freedom are the main goals everyone needs. We are  different, but anyone is better than anyone. It worths  being  different, otherwise we would live in a world with no personality or integrity. We must live in peace even if we have a different faith , language or tradition. The  “differences” enrich and strengthen us.
