This city, as well as Peastum and Castellabate, is located next to the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park.

Paestum

It is said that before being called Paestum, the city was originally called “Poseidonia” and that it became “Paestum” in Roman times.

Oasis Alento river

This oasis is located in the heart of the national park of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano, you can visit a panoramic point that offers a view of the fantastic lake of the Alento river.

There are many activities to do, for example it is possible to visit the basement of the dam where you can see the water channeling in the various paths, or you can also spend your time with the animals.

You can spend a whole day in the oasis to try all the didactic activities it offers: picnics, nature excursions, thematic exhibitions etc.
