Andrea is a veterinarian who falls in love at first sight with Teresa who moved to the house next to him. Teresa is a medical student who has an affair with her colleague Tom.

While Tom leaves for a business trip, Andrea and Teresa begin to spend a lot of time together thus starting a relationship. 

Andrea shows Teresa her secret place,an island, and tells her that so far she had never brought anyone there. Teresa is a impressed and tells him she wants to stay on that island forever.

Everything seems to be fine until Tom returns from the trip and asks Teresa to marry him.

Teresa uncertain of her feelings tells Andrea that their relationship was not serious and therefore accepts Tom’s marriage proposal.

Andrea doesn’t know what to do and Monica, a friend of his, tells him that he should fight for Teresa because they really love each other.

So Andrea runs to the hospital but finds out that Teresa went to her parents’ house after breaking the engagement with Tom.

Andrea goes to Teresa’s family home to make the proposal. After having convinced her of his love, she says yes . Finally the two get married and form a happy family.

However one evening while Teresa is returning home, she is involved in an accident and goes into a coma. Days go by and Teresa doesn’t improve.

So Andrea goes to his secret place and builds a gazebo for Teresa.

Finally she wakes up and once she regains her strength Andrea shows her the gazebo overlooking the shore. From that moment their love story starts again.
